"Inquiry Based Learning is a fancy word for curiosity, and what student isn't curious?"

Inquiry Based Learning provides a student driven deviation from traditional lesson planning that allows student to explore the material in the curriculum in the context they're most interested in. The example in the video is learning about money and students decide they want to know about billionaires. By learning about billionaires students will also cover the curriculum objectives, but add a spin that is of personal interest to them (which also allows them to relate different topics).

I think this type of learning requires a great deal of ingenuity and planning for the teacher. It may be a difficult to emlpoy at first but has the potential to show great benefits in the classroom.
