Trying something new adds one more experience to your resume. I am happy to say that I can now add blogging to mine. This was my first experience blogging to reflect on an experience and felt that it was a positive one. With blogging for reflection I was able to maintain my attention on the course content even when I wasn't directly involved in the course content. One of my main questions during the course was identifying what innovative education looks like. Throughout the course looking at history and philosophy, I couldn't help but try and determine and practical point of view. This is one way I like to gain a well rounded perspective on new content. I found myself consdiering new innovative methods for teaching and how they contributed to a philosophical view point, or were influecned by a historical one. At the end of the course I have more context for historical implications of education, and a well rounded philosophy that helps me define what innovation in teaching and learning means to me. Many thanks to for the positive experience and I hope to continue you this reflection blog through my next semester so that I am able to reflect on my future experiences in the PME program at Queen's University.
