Goal Setting

My goal is to maintain a blog to inquire further about theories and practices of SRL, so that I may develop my knowledge and understanding of the material and refine my own personal practices and development, as well as improve my ability to teach and facilitate SRL for future students in my classroom.

This goal interests me because of the aim to develop my students as life-long learners. SRL is a key aspect in driving student motivation. Knowledge of goal setting theories related to SRL can have an impact in how I approach and mentor individual students in this context. If I can learn several different practices in SRL, try them and reflect on how they work for me, I will have a more complete understanding in my pursuit of inspiring SRL and life-long learning in my students.
